Scratching Machine

Twin Drive Scratching Machine With Dust Collector

The machine is used to perform scratching of stator leads by using wire brushes and collect the dust using dust collector. The machine consists of table made out of MS angle structure on which 2 AC 3 phase o.5 hp induction motors are mounted. The wire brush wheels mounted on to motor shaft directly using an adapter. The one motor is mounted with out any adjustment and the other one motor is mounted to adjust to move the gap between the wire brush wheels manually. The manual push buttons are provided to start and stop the motor rotation. Areas around the wire brush wheels are covered by a metallic guard, which has an opening on the rear side that enables the inlet hose of the dust collector to be connected. The scratching machine set up uses a dust collector to collect the enamel powder removed from the stator leads.

Sequence of operation – Auto cycle

1. Load / locate motor in the magnetizing bunk.

2. Operate the Two Hand Push Button to actuate the auto cycle. The auto sequence is as given below

    2a. Magnetizing current is discharged thru the coil and stops.
    2b. Capacitor is charged for the next cycle
    2c. Unload the component manually
    2d. The Equipment is ready for next component
