High-speed Fling and burst Test Rig shall be designed to meet the following test requirements.
| No. | Name | Description |
|---|---|---|
The details are subject to change and customizable to orders. |
||
| 1 | Proof Testing | The flinging of armatures by free running the test object at pre-settable speeds between 20,000 rpm & 40,000 rpm for a pre-settable time, and by verification by physical dimensional measurements on the test object. For commutator burst test The speed to be between 20000 & 50000 RPM. |
| 2 | Burst Testing | To evaluate the speed, at which the Test Object bursts due to the action of centrifugal forces expected to occur below the maximum test bench speeds up to 50,000 rpm. (A suitable arrangement around the commutator at Comm OD + 0.2mm could be made to sense and provide stop signal). |
| 3 | Operator Safety | To provide adequate safety to the operator as well as to the test bench components when such high energy bursting takes place. |
| 4 | Automatic Burst test sensing | The test rig shall have a means to detect onset of bursting or cracking, by means of a Spot sensor. |
